East Anglia Associated Event - Envar Compost Trials
Venue: Castle Cement, Ketton
Envar are running a seminar on 'The Composting Research Project Land Restoration Bioenergy Field Trials' on 13th September 2007 at Castle Cement, Ketton.

The morning seminar will discuss the use of compost produced from MSW fines as a restoration medium to grow biomass crops.

The seminar contributes 0.5 day SET or 4 hours CPD for CIWM members

Open meeting on 'Food Waste Recycling - A Recipe for Success?'
HotRot Composting Systems hosted this all-day event at their premises in Norfolk, culminating in a tour around the plant.

Speakers for the day included Bekon (Anaerobic Digesters), NISP, Renewables East and several Local Authorities; with a 'speed-dating' afternoon covering a wide range of food / organics-related topics.

Commencing at 2.30pm, this workshop is intended specifically for Graduate and other members who wish to become Chartered Waste Managers.

Attendees will be required to bring the following with them:
1. A full and recent CV
2. Contact details of 2 sponsors, who should be full members of the Institution
3. A statement of approximately 300 words outlining wastes management experience, CIWM involvement (if applicable) and any project or training work.
