FINANCIAL PROVISIONS FOR NON-LANDFILLS

Following consultation the Environment Agency has issued guidelines for financial provisions for non landfill waste management licences. The Agency will accept that applicants are "in a position to make financial provision" if they can demonstrate that they have sufficient financial means to fund the requirements of the licence, including those arising on closure. Applicants can demonstrate this through credit reference checks, provision of alternative evidence or through a named local authority budget.
