Cross Party Group on Wastes Management

The Cross Party Group on Wastes Management in the Scottish Parliament exists to provide a platform for parliamentarians and all members to discuss all issues relating to waste management and the implementation of the National Waste Plan. The group will meet to ensure an exchange of information between members of the Parliament, industry and other interested parties. This may take place through presentations and debates.

Cross Party Group Newsletter

Welcome to Waste and Resources News Scotland. The newsletter has been developed to provide you with information about waste management and resource recovery issues in Scotland and the UK. The newsletter is produced on behalf of the Cross Party Group in the Scottish Parliament on Wastes Management in conjunction with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management. The Cross Party Group is supported by an informal partnership involving Scottish Environmental Services Association, Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, CoSLA, Community Recycling Network Scotland, The Composting Association: Scotland, Scottish Waste Awareness Group, Remade Scotland, SEPA and the Scottish Government.

Garden Lobby - 14th September 2006

The first Garden Lobby Exhibition by the Cross Party Group will take place on the 14th of September in the Scottish Parliament.

Next Meeting

18th September 2008 - 12:45 Committee Room 4

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management would like to invite you to attend the above meeting. Chaired by Marlyn Glen MSP, the topic will be Zero Waste and speakers include Simon Stockwell of the Scottish Government who will discuss the zero waste plan and the review of the National waste plan along with Neil Lovelock from Community Recycling Network for Scotland. There will be plenty opportunity to ask questions and meet industry representatives. There will be a light lunch available.
