The Scottish Waste Management Liaison Group on Waste meets this Thursday, 7th September.
Aim:
To provide a national forum in Scotland, bringing together the regulator and regulated, to discuss issues of common interest in areas of waste policy, implementation, regulation and waste strategy.
Objectives:
To consider matters of strategic importance and policy as they relate to the waste management industry with a view to promoting strategic and collaborative working.
To allow an open framework for discussing consistency of regulation, implementation, enforcement and waste strategy with the view of promoting a better understanding of the issues and improving the quality of waste and resource management in Scotland.
To contribute to the achievement of excellent customer relations between SEPA and the waste industry.
