WASTE FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE MEETING

The CIWM will be holding are inviting members to attend a meeting to discuss the
Waste Framework Directive consultation paper currently out. The ‘brainstorming’ meeting taking place on the afternoon of the 6 December will aim to hear members’ views on the proposals and produce a comprehensive response on behalf of the CIWM. NATIONAL FLY-TIPPING PREVENTION GROUP WEBSITE

The National Fly-tipping Prevention Group (NFTPG) brings together organisations with a common aim: to come up with solutions to the problem of fly-tipping. Chaired by the Environment Agency, its membership includes regulatory bodies, Government departments, and organisations with a wide membership of landowners and land managers such as Network Rail and the NFU.  Go to http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/nftpg/

NEW GUIDE TO FLY-TIPPING FOR LANDOWNERS

CLASSIFICATION AND CODING OF WASTES FROM TREATMENT FACILITIES

LITTER LEVELS AT FIVE YEAR LOW
Latest data from the annual survey shows that litter levels in England have fallen

CLASSIFICATION OF INCINERATION BOTTOM ASH

Protocol for incineration bottom ash, the protocol uses a direct testing method on IBA.
