ENVIRONMENT AGENCY SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS 2006 REPORT
The Environment Agency have released their annual Spotlight report for 2006 on the environmental performance of businesses in England and Wales. The report found that industry regulated by the Environment Agency generated about the same amount of waste in 2006 as 2005, with a 42 per cent increase compared to 2000 levels. A large amount of this increase is due to changes in regulation meaning more companies have to report the waste they produce.
