DRAFT REGULATIONS AND GUIDANCE FOR PROPOSALS FOR ESTABLISHING JOINT WASTE AUTHORITIES IN ENGLAND
Defra have released a consultation on the draft regulations and draft guidance for establishing joint waste authorities in England. SCOTTISH POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL DESIGNATION OF BATTERIES DIRECTIVE
The Scottish Statutory Instruments 2008, No. 86 Environmental protection, The Pollution Prevention and Control (Designation of Batteries Directive) (Scotland) Order 2008 came into force on the 17 March. NORTHERN IRELAND PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY OBLIGATIONS AMENDMENT
Amended Regulations are due to come into force on the 6 April 2008, making amendments to the packaging Regulations in Northern Ireland. SEPA ENFORCEMENT POLICY
SEPA has issued a revised enforcement policy; it details the legal processes SEPA will use for breaches of environmental legislation. The policy advocates working with industry to stop harmful pollution happening in the first place but also provides details of the range of regulatory tools SEPA will use to bring about compliance. THE WELSH SOILS ACTION PLAN
