A £4 million fund to support the installation of biomass-fuelled heating and combined heat & power projects, including anaerobic digesters, has been opened to applications. BERR WRITTEN TO ALL PCS TO REMIND THEM OF IMPENDING DEADLINES

MINISTER GORMLEY LAUNCHES ENFORCEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL LAW: THE CASE FOR REFORM
The Environment, Heritage and Local Government have launched the Law Society's Law Reform Committee's Report on “Enforcement of Environmental Law: The case for reform”. The Report examines the respective roles of the State, citizens, non-governmental organisations, and commercial bodies in environmental law enforcement.

COMPOST AWARENESS WEEK 2008
This year Compost Awareness Week (CAW) will run from 4th – 10th May. The Composting Association and WRAP are already in discussions regarding the activity and partners for this year.
